About

I’ve always loved the craft of tuning, fixing, and repairing pianos. There’s something almost meditative about listening closely to each note, finding the small imperfections, and bringing the whole instrument back into harmony. Working with the delicate mechanics—the strings, hammers, and action—reminds me that precision and patience can create something truly beautiful. Every piano has its own personality, and restoring that voice is deeply rewarding.

As a firefighter, the stakes are higher, but the mindset is similar: stay calm, stay focused, and take pride in doing the job the right way. Whether I’m maintaining equipment, training with my crew, or responding to a call, I approach each task with the same commitment to detail and craftsmanship I use when working on a piano. Both roles demand consistency and care, and I thrive in that environment.

At their core, these two passions—piano work and firefighting—are about service. One serves music, the other serves people, but both require heart. Every piano I repair and every fire call I answer is an opportunity to make things better than I found them. And carrying that passion for quality into everything I do is what keeps me grounded, motivated, and proud of the work I perform.
